Come evaluate your past, present, and future winter maintenance practices, and learn what your organization can do to become more efficient and reduce salt use. Attendees will utilize the web-based assessment tool, WMAt. The tool evaluates practices and makes recommendations. The reports it generates can be used for internal training and budgeting, as well as for communicating with public officials or others involved in the funding of maintenance work. This event is free, and lunch will be provided.


All participants will be asked to bring a laptop to the training.

·       Brief overview of Chloride Management Plan and road salt dilemma

·       What is needed to get Level II certification for your organization

·       Introduction to Winter Maintenance Assessment tool (WMAt)

·       Explore WMAt with guided instruction

·       How to use reports

·       Class  and WMAt evaluation
