Venue: Riley Creek Conservation Area
Location: 9795 Canopy Trail | Eden Prairie
Join us for a summer evening stroll through the Riley Creek Conservation Area, one of the many natural resources in our community. We'll explore the history and ecology of the conservation area, as well as the creek that flows through it. The trail also winds near the site of a future creek restoration project. We'll learn how the watershed district identifies which creek stretches are in need of help, and the strategies to restore them.
This event is free and open to the public. The walk is an "out and back", with a total distance of two miles. It is an unpaved trail, and there are some uneven areas and elevation changes. Consider bringing a water bottle and wearing bug spray. We'll be meeting at the conservation area parking lot. It's small, so carpooling is encouraged.
