The District will be treating Lake Riley the later half of the week of June 15th. This is the second herbicide treatment for Lake Riley this year. The first one was applied earlier this spring targeting curley leaf pondweed another invasive plant which dies off in August. Next week's treatment will target eurasian watermilfoil another invasive species. Eurasian watermilfoil can form dense mats that outcompete the native plant population. This is part of a larger effort to restore the ecology of Lake Riley. For more information, contact Claire Bleser at 952-607-6512.
