Brittle Naiad Found on Lotus Lake

Brittle Naiad was recently found on Lotus Lake for the first time. Brittle Naiad is an invasive aquatic plant that can form dense mats that out-compete native species and interfere with recreational activities like boating, swimming and fishing. The plant breaks easily into pieces that can spread the plant to new locations.

Watershed Tour Brings Together Community to Talk About Clean Water

On July 31, over sixty people boarded buses at the Riley Purgatory Bluff Creek Watershed District in Chanhassen and embarked on a tour of local lakes, creeks, and wetlands. Participants ranged from city mayors and commissioners, to community members and the watershed district board of managers.
