Data Request
The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (Minn. Stat. § 13) is a state law that controls how government data are collected, created, stored, used, and released. The law establishes requirements relating to the right of the public to access government data and the rights of individuals who are subjects of government data. Access to government data is defined in Minn. Stat. § 13.03.
Per MN Statute 13.03, subd. 3(c), you may be required to pay for the costs of searching for and retrieving government data, including the cost of employee time, and for making, certifying, and electronically transmitting copies of public data.
You do not have to provide contact information. However, we may not be able to clarify your request or provide copies without contact information. In the absence of contact information, you will be responsible for contacting RPBCWD and scheduling a time to pick up or view the data.
