Liz joined the District in 2021. She manages the outreach and education program including developing materials and tools to communicate District projects and programs, overseeing the cost-share program, and serving as staff liaison to the Citizen Advisory Committee. She's worked in the natural resources field for 20 years, primarily in the public sector, and has an M.S. in natural resources communications and a B.S. in wildlife ecology.
Liz's favorite part of her job is working with a fun and talented group of people and being being involved in a wide range of tasks. She especially enjoys taking highly technical or complicated concepts and working it into a more digestible format for stakeholders. In her free time, Liz enjoys hiking, kayaking, and gardening. After moving to a new home, she's spent a lot of time with house updates and plans to convert the lawn to native plantings.
Riley Creek Conservation Area in Eden Prairie. It's a great example of a stream restoration project and nice place to hike, especially in the fall.
