How long have you lived in the watershed district?
I moved to the RPBCWD in 1980.
Why were you interested in becoming a manager?
I was interested in becoming a watershed Manager because, after volunteering on the Citizens Advisory Committee, I could see I could have a greater impact on important decisions if I were on the Board of Managers.
What is your background?
I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Minnesota. I have about 40 years of Engineering Design, Project Management, and Business Management experience.
What is your favorite outdoor spot in the District?
I appreciate all of the lakes, creeks, and bike paths in RPBCWD, but I do not have one favorite spot in the watershed district. My favorite lake is Lake Superior. I like the clear cold water and sandy beaches around the Apostle Islands.
What is your favorite outdoor activity?
My favorite outdoor activity is whitewater kayaking. Flat water kayaking is a close second.
